Add a public HTTPS page
Paste a URL and let Loomca prepare its content in the background.
Who this is for
Sources for the selected web assistant. Content is isolated by assistant; capacity is shared across all assistants in the account.
Before you start
Select the right assistant. Complete initial web setup. Save or discard pending Information/Appearance changes before proceeding.
Steps
- Open Assistant → Sources and find Web pages.
- Enter a public HTTPS URL and select Add page.
- Check its status until Ready to answer. No later review or approval is required.
Result
Only that page is prepared, with an automatic initial name. Adding it authorizes use once it is ready.
Limits and conditions
HTTPS alone does not guarantee a successful import: the page must be accessible and contain usable text. Scripts are not run, links are not followed and the whole site is not imported.
Free has ten slots, including active sources and reservations. New sources are blocked when all slots are taken; published sources can still be updated. Another source is never removed automatically.
You cannot add another source with the same URL or confirmed destination within the assistant, even if the existing source is processing, failed or cancelled. The notification identifies the source: use Update or Retry there. URL parameters, their order and the # fragment distinguish addresses; tracking parameters are preserved. A deleted source can be added again as a new source.
If you cannot continue
Read the error. If an action was not confirmed because of a connection problem, retry with the same content instead of creating another source. A failed or cancelled new source releases its reservation.
